Irish Wildflowers Collection:  Purple Toadflax (Irish: Bufalíon corcra)
This unique piece is hand painted by Eva Solberg. The artist is using the reverse painting on glass technique, known since Middle Ages. It is a challenging art because it involves inverting the usual painting process, allowing to view the image by turning the glass over and looking through the glass at the image.
Solberg applies few layers of water-based paints and a special coat at the end to protect the painting. Every item needs to be fired in the kiln twice.
Each piece has an engraved signature of the artist in the right bottom corner and comes with a short description of the Irish Wildflowers Collection and painting technique.
The plates can be used as decoration (hung on the wall or put on a stand).
