Handmade stained glass

The Shamrock Window  is handmade using stained glass technique, which has been known since Ancient Times.
After a pattern is drawn on a piece of paper, it is placed under the glass and the outline is traced with a permanent marker. Then the glass is cut, the edges are being refined and smoothed. The pieces of glass are reassembled using lead that hold the glass in place. This is soldered together becoming this unique piece of art.

Because each piece is made by hand; expect slight differences in size, shape and colour.

Shamrock
Shamrock is a young sprig of clover and has been used as a symbol of Ireland since the 18th century. Saint Patrick, Ireland’s patron saint, is said to have used it as a metaphor for the Christian Holy Trinity. The name shamrock comes from Irish seamróg, which is the diminutive of the Irish word for clover (seamair) and means simply “little clover” or “young clover”.
