Handmade Irish Marriage Blessing

This unique piece is handmade using natural slate, which is a fine-grained metamorphic rock that has been used in Ireland mainly as roofing material for centuries.
First we create a design for each blessing with matching Celtic symbol, the text is typed in Celtic font as well. It is printed on very thin rice paper. Next step involves the cutting of the slate to the desired size, on which the printed blessing is attached.

Each piece has artist’s signature on the reverse and comes with a short description of the symbol’s meaning.
The blessing can be hung on the wall.
Because each piece is made by hand; expect slight differences in size and shape.

The Celtic meaning of Claddagh
The heart in the Claddagh symbolizes the timeless love. The crown represents loyalty and fidelity, and the hands represent friendship, which is, after all, the very foundation of love, with loyalty holding the two hands together.
