Irish Wildflowers Collection: Musk mallow (Irish: Hocas muscach)
Flowering: July-October

This unique piece is hand painted by Eva Solberg. The artist is using the reverse painting on glass technique, known since Middle Ages. It is a challenging art because it involves inverting the usual painting process, allowing to view the image by turning the glass over and looking through the glass at the image.
Solberg applies few layers of water-based paints and a special coat at the end to protect the painting. Every item needs to be fired in the kiln twice.

Each piece has an engraved signature of the artist and comes with a short description of the Irish Wildflowers Collection and painting technique.
The lamp has an antique gold colour cord with a switch.

apx. 23cm diameter (9in)

Please be aware, that each lamp is hand painted, therefore the effect of the colours may vary.
