Description

Each tile is handmade with love using some of our own techniques, which make them even more unique. The clay is pugged and rolled, then cut to size for each individual item. The tiles are dried and fired in the kiln. After the first firing we paint them with glazes, which give them colour, and we spend time developing and mixing our own ones. Afterwards the tiles are fired once again in the kiln.

Each piece has our¬†signature on the reverse and comes with a short description of the symbol’s meaning and technique used.
Our wall tiles are easily hung, they have two holes for secure hanging.
Because each piece is made by hand; expect slight differences in size, shape and glaze.

Meaning of Shamrock
A shamrock is a young sprig of clover and has been used as a symbol of Ireland since the 18th century. Saint Patrick, Ireland’s patron saint, is said to have used it as a metaphor for the Christian Holy Trinity. The name shamrock comes from Irish seamr√≥g, which is the diminutive of the Irish word for clover (seamair) and means simply “little clover” or “young clover”.
