Meaning of Shamrock
A shamrock is a young sprig of clover and has been used as a symbol of Ireland since the 18th century. Saint Patrick, Ireland’s patron saint, is said to have used it as a metaphor for the Christian Holy Trinity. The name shamrock comes from Irish seamróg, which is the diminutive of the Irish word for clover (seamair) and means simply “little clover” or “young clover”.
The clay is pugged and rolled, then cut to size for each individual item. The magnets are dried and fired in the kiln. After the first firing, we paint them with glazes, which give them colour, and we spend time developing and mixing our own ones. Afterwards the magnets are fired once again in the kiln.
Because each piece is made by hand; expect slight differences in size, shape and glaze.
